Mi box 4 and 4pro full specs and price

Xiaomi announced a successor to its Mi Box 4 Pro called Mi Box 4S Pro and even though it looks identical to the old one and the name implies a rather incremental update, this is definitely not the case here. In addition to its long feature list, the Mi Box 4S Pro gains 8K video decoding, which is probably the most notable addition.

Mi Box 4S ProThe HDMI standard has been bumped up to 2.1 to accommodate the 8K video playback above 30fps. There are also 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage - the latter has been doubled compared to the 4 Pro. The device ships with MIUI for TV in China but we can expect it to adopt Android TV if it hits the global markets. However, Xiaomi said that it doesn't have plans to release the Box 4S Pro internationally.

Anyway, the pre-orders start today and the asking price is CNY 399 ($60), which is understandably slightly more expensive than its predecessor.

Huawei nova 8 is announced full specs and price

Huawei introduced the nova 7 SE back in April, and after more than six months, the company has announced its successor, dubbed nova 8 SE.

The nova 8 SE is just 7.46mm thick, weighs 178 grams, and has a design largely reminiscent of the iPhone 12 with flat frames and squircle-shaped island on the back. The latter hosts a 64MP primary camera, 8MP ultrawide unit and two 2MP modules for macro and depth information.

The nova 8 SE is built around a 6.53" FHD+ OLED display that has a waterdrop notch for the 16MP selfie camera. It also has a fingerprint scanner underneath for biometric authentication and supports HDR10.

Under the hood, the nova 8 SE has a Dimensity 720 chipset, but there's also a High Edition that has Dimensity 800U at the helm. Both variants come with 8GB RAM, 128GB storage, and run Android 10-based EMUI 10.1 out of the box.

Keeping the lights on is a 3,800 mAh battery which is smaller than the current industry standards, but it supports 66W charging, which promises to juice up the cell from flat to 60% in 15 minutes and 100% in another 20 minutes.

The rest of the highlights of the Huawei nova 8 SE include a USB-C port, 3.5mm headphone jack, Bluetooth 5.1, dual SIM support, and dual-band Wi-Fi.

Both the Dimensity 720 and Dimensity 800U-powered models of the nova 8 SE support 5G networks, but the High Edition offers 5G connectivity on both SIMs, whereas the Standard Edition supports the next-gen network only on the primary SIM.

The Huawei nova 8 SE has four color options and will go on sale in China from November 11. The Standard Edition is priced at CNY2,599 ($390/€330) and the High Edition will set you back by CNY2,699 ($410/€345).

It's still an all-aluminum laptop tipping the scale at 1.5kg and measuring about 18mm in thickness. The device is powered by Intel's 10th Generation Core i3-10110U (2.1 GHz dual-core, boost up to 4.1 GHz) CPU and no discrete GPU, you'd have to rely on the built-in UHD Graphics 620. As the name implies, the notebook carries a 14-inch IPS LCD panel and unlike the vanilla Mi Notebook, this one has a webcam positioned at the top bezel.
